You will have to ask 'old Nana' some questions about the olden days Roy when you are next in Thames. She use to do her washing and ironing as your pictures show. It would have taken a long time to wash and wring out the clothes by hand. There was no power to heat up the iron in the olden days. The iron was heated on top of the wood stove. (Nana)
It was a fun trip going to the museum - especially when you all had to put on the olden days clothes and do the funny dance! (mum)
